At least three more houses were burgled in Swords in the last week, one house in Abbeylea and two houses in Oaklands
Avenue. The house in Abbeylea Drive was ransacked with little taken. The T.V was smashed on the floor and paint was poured
over the furniture. The thieves broke in through the back window last Thursday evening. Later that evening two houses were
broken into on Oaklands Avenue, one of the houses was also ransacked before the burglars moved on to another house. The culprits
were caught by the Garda in the house, one of the gang of four men sprayed ''Mace'' in the face of a female Garda. All four
tugs were arrested by the Garda, it was said that the burglars were from the itinerant community
